Hi, this is Marie 👋🏻 # Who am I? My name is Marie Denis-Massé and I'm a bootstrapped founder. When I started to work on my own products a few years ago, I realized it was a struggle to find other indie women makers like me to talk to. I thought of creating a place for us so we can find each other, share what we’re working on and learn together. It started with a simple Telegram group. The first members were women I personally reached out to. We were chatting, helping each other and having fun while progressing together. Our community has grown since then. But my mission is still the same today: make something simple and useful for women, where everyone who supports us is welcome. # What is Women Make? Women Make is a community for women entrepreneurs and makers. It is a safe place to meet, find support, get feedback, help each other out, share their journey, celebrate wins together. But it's more than that. With Women Make, I want to put women at the forefront by highlighting their stories and promoting their work in ways that don't always happen in a male-dominated field. What I call "day to day work": - Moderating our Telegram group - Animating our Twitter account: share news related to women and diversity in general, share our members' work like launches, blog posts, products updates, publications, etc. - Sending the weekly <a href="https://womenmake.com/weekly-digest" target="_blank">newsletter</a> - Helping/advising some of our members in private conversations - Reaching out to the members who might be a bit shy and giving them the confidence to participate in the community - Putting women at the forefront: for example, when one of our members launches a product I pin a message in our Telegram group + write a tweet with <a href="https://twitter.com/women_make_" target="_blank">@women_make_</a> + RT that member's tweet + add it our <a href="https://www.producthunt.com/@marie_dm_/collections/women-make" target="_blank">PH collection</a> (if it's a Product Hunt launch). That's the very least I do for every woman launching. Sometimes I also take care of special events like our <a href="https://womenmake.com/challenge-2019-result" target="_blank">30 Day Challenge</a> which was a big amount of extra work, or I organize remote meetups for our members. That's actually a full-time job. # Why supporting me? This community is free 
so everyone can join, whatever your financial situation is. However, I 
put a lot of time and efforts in this project. Basically, by financially
 supporting me you're allowing me to keep going with Women Make.
