Trustees of the Ridgefield Free Public Library
The Ridgefield Public Library Board of Trustees are charged under the New Jersey State law as the governing and policy making body of the Library. The Board is responsible for the use of the building and property, personnel policies, hiring, and control of the budget. The Library Board consists of Ridgefield residents who are appointed by the Mayor to a 5-year term. The Mayor and the Superintendent of Schools are permanent members of the Board, and they may appoint alternates to serve in their place.
