Get an Early Return Time
The Lightning Lane Multi Pass system operates differently in the pre-booking period and after you've redeemed a Multi Pass selection.
Once a slot is redeemed, regardless of its tier, you are no longer limited to a single Tier 1 selection at a time and some of the time overlap rules. If you are able to
redeem a Lightning Lane as early as possible after park opening, you open the door to more selection opportunities (and generally, better
availability).
One trick is to try to book a Tier 2 attraction with a return time as close to park opening as possible. If you can't get an early time
when you first make your selections, create a modify search within Wait Magic with a target time of the park opening, such as 9:00 AM. Then, we'll
try to secure a time closer to park opening for you!
Start Wide, Narrow In
While you can set a specific time window for a new booking, we often have better success finding availability for you with a wider search, such as Earliest Available.
Once availability is found, editing the search to become a modify search for a specific time ensures you can at least experience the attraction at some point in the day, while
we try to get you a better return time. We've had good success with this technique and
then modifying guest searches to desired times. The Book then Modify search types do this for you automatically.
Make Use of Pause
Want to better control what gets booked before another? Make use of the pause button on a search to keep us from booking it
instead of a higher priority item. Once that item is found, simply resume the search again.
Park Hop!
If you are able to Park Hop with your ticket type, you open up a much wider range of Lightning Lane possibilities!
With any Multi Pass purchase, once you've redeemed any Multi Pass booking in park, you open up the Park Hopping capability of the
Lightning Lane system for free. Did you know you can hold Lightning Lanes for different parks at the same time? You could even set several searches at different parks to see which one fills first to
determine which park you hop to!
Near Term is Better
We can only search for new bookings for you when you have an empty Multi Pass slot (or more). The more Lightning Lanes you can redeem closer together,
the more often we can search for you. Lightning Lane return times that are closer to the current time allow us to search more often for you.
Don't Be Afraid to Cancel
Do you have a Lightning Lane selection, particularly a Tier 2 attraction, that isn't very hard to claim again later? Cancel it and let us
search for a better use of that slot. By holding onto it, you are limiting your search potential.
