2009

That year was truly groundbreaking in many ways: James Cameron’s “Avatar” came out, Porsche premiered their first-ever four-door sedan, and... Zwebra Web Studio Inc. was started!

Although mainstream audiences may have overlooked the latter event, it was a big deal for us since we finally got our small web studio going and even completed a bunch of projects for our first clients.

2013

Being around in 2013 was quite exciting, to say the least. Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” was all over the place, people were lining up to get their new iPhone 5s - but what about Zwebra?

We did our best to make that year a memorable one too - hiring new team members, implementing new technologies, and launching new services for our clients: mobile app development, social media marketing, and responsive web design.

Also, that year we successfully completed a major project for our client from the US. It was the experience that enabled us to grow professionally and step up our game.

2017

Another year full of innovation and technological breakthroughs: Tesla premiered the world’s first battery-powered truck Tesla Semi, a humanoid robot called Sofia became the first robot ever to receive citizenship. But what about Zwebra?

In 2017, we launched our first overseas office - in Saint John, Canada. It made our services directly available to clients from North America, and they sure did take advantage of that. Since then, we have worked with dozens of clients from Canada and the US, some of which are major, well-known companies.

2019

The year 2019 was a remarkable one for us as we launched our second Canadian office in Toronto.

We got lucky enough to have witnessed how Raptors won their first-ever NBA championship in Toronto. That was a truly amazing experience and, perhaps, somewhat symbolical since that’s the kind of success we would like our clients to achieve if they choose to work with us.

2022

While Mark Zuckerberg rebranded Facebook to Meta and was actively working on the creation of the Metaverse, Zwebra was also moving ahead. Our team in Toronto formed a new department specializing in services specifically for eCommerce businesses.

We attended the largest eCommerce online conferences and improved our knowledge, expanded our team and have already managed to implement several successful cases in digital marketing for a couple of large online stores.

In many ways, this period has become difficult and even game-changing. We had to temporarily abandon the convenience and all the advantages of teamwork in the office and organize effective remote work during the Coronavirus pandemic.

As with many companies, this was a new way of doing business for us. However, we have succeeded and even increased the efficiency of our work!

Being a company with Ukrainian roots and having an office and colleagues in this country, we were not able to stand apart from what was going on there. From the first days of the war, we organized the “Help Children of Ukraine” fundraiser. Thanks to donations from our clients and friends, the team at Zwebra in Ukraine along with volunteers have helped more than 300 families who lost their homes and had to evacuate to a safer place. We purchased kids clothes, baby formulas and all the necessities as well as organized delivery of humanitarian aid to all those in need.

Meanwhile, we are all waiting for this nightmare to end in Ukraine and continue working to deliver great results to all our clients.

2024

With AI-based technologies on the rise, businesses from various industries are scrambling to hire specialists who can develop, implement, and support modern solutions.
