Out of hours work completed (Which I’ve been anxious about going well all day. It did!)
walked as the sun was setting afterwards and treated myself to a Waitrose Chicken biryani (accept no substitute) and am getting cozy with an episode of the X-Files 👽 😊
It’s all about the technology this week as we have some new products and some (hopefully) long awaited internet upgrades!

Couple of quick shots from a walk to the shop to buy bread this morning. Not too exciting but I wanted to play with some of the new filters and film emulation. I quite like the grain. The film emulation and halation is really well done. Subtle but impactful. Excited to play more as I get out and about.
Man. I really wanted to love this… I’m sad that I don’t.
The Ghost In The Shell has existed since the book first came out in 1989. It’s been adapted several times into movies and TV shows with different approaches each time. Some like the 1995 film and Anime series Stand Alone Complex are genuinely excellent. Others, not so good, or at least controversial.

I’ve waited years to get off potato internet speeds at my house. Whilst I’ve watched the UK at large and indeed most of my own town as well as villages get on the new fan dangled “internet superhighway” my own home has been languishing on old tech with slow speeds 1 for some time.
My street sadly appeared to always be left out of any rollout plans. Every few months I’d check the BT Wholesale broadband checker and leave disappointed. However. A year ago I found something interesting. Some of the houses on my street now showed availability. But still not mine. I contacted OpenReach to ask about this, and they advised me this was an error and indeed I could place an order. So I did just that! 🥳
Son all packed up to go off to university today 🥲
My wife and other son are helping him move in. I’m holding the fort at home because I can’t fit in the car with all the stuff 😂
They’re also fitting in a cheeky Costco visit afterwards as well.
For me it’s the gym, bit of housework and maybe some tinkering with some tech!
Well, the iPhone events have come and gone. I didn’t watch the event live this year, and I feel much better for it. Tech just isn’t doing it the same way as it was a couple of years ago. AI bubble, rising costs, as well as rising fascism in the tech space, it’s not as cosy and adventurous a hobby space as it was when I was sitting down on my G3 Pismo MacBook exploring a brand new MacOS X 1.0 that’s for sure.
I have however, caught up on the facts, let the dust settle, put the RC’s on all my current devices 1 and am ready to compose some thoughts and make some decisions.
I’ll update the main Every 100th Of A Second landing page later once I’ve confirmed this pilot/reinvented episode does exactly what I want to. You can also read more there on what this series is about, but essentially it’s me highlighting photos I come across on the Fediverse that I like and inspire me.

Let’s get this out of the way up front. I’ve never seen a single episode of Breaking Bad (I know… I know… I’ll get to it… One day) . I’m a big fan of Gilligan’s work on the x-files however as I re-watch that series.
I really enjoyed this show. Once I started I binged it within a few days. If you don’t know the premise, I’d advise going into this one relatively cold and just going with the flow. It’s a Sci-Fi show but only for the conceit of its plot, which presents a soft apocalypse (Maybe…?) where only 12 people on earth are spared.
Wow, Can you believe I’ve written 100 of these silly things since starting to write online. If you read these little insights into my brain and day to day life then you have my thanks 😊
I probably should have put more effort into making something special. A retrospective perhaps? Maybe when we get to #200!
It was a long weekend this week with Monday as an extra day off so of course the weather forecast was for heavy rain and possible thunderstorms. (We were going to go berry picking😢) As I sit here Sunday afternoon writing this, we actually have proper sunshine again. Tomorrow is supposed to be better but unfortunately my wife is working the bank holiday.
