humanize.fast ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the measures we take to keep it secure when you visit or interact with our platform.

By accessing or using humanize.fast, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our website and services.

2. What We Collect

We collect limited information to make the platform functional, secure, and user-friendly:

• Account Details: When you log in through Google, GitHub, LinkedIn, or X, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not access or store your password.
• Content Data: Text submitted to our humanization or detection tools may be retained in account history and usage logs, as described in section 8. This includes selected text and posts deliberately checked through our Chrome extension.
• Usage Data: We record account-linked requests, credits consumed, results and feature usage to operate the service, apply allowances and provide account history. We also use aggregate statistics to improve the service.
• Payment Details: For subscriptions and credit purchases, transactions are processed securely by Stripe. We never store credit card or payment information on our servers.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To operate, manage, and improve the humanize.fast platform
• To process text humanization and AI detection requests
• To manage your account, subscriptions, and credits
• To process payments and verify transactions
• To send important service updates and notifications
• To maintain platform security and detect misuse
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations

4. Third-Party Integrations

We rely on several external providers to offer essential features and functionality:

• OAuth Providers: Google, GitHub, LinkedIn, and X are used for secure authentication.
• Crossref: References you deliberately submit to the citation lookup are sent through humanize.fast to Crossref to retrieve bibliographic records.
• Stripe: Used for secure payment processing.
• OpenAI: Powers our AI text humanization (content is not stored by them for model training per their API terms).
• Cloudflare: Provides security, CDN, and performance services.

We encourage users to review these third-party policies to understand how your data may be processed by them.

5. Security and Data Protection

We take data protection seriously and employ safeguards including SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission. We do not store passwords (OAuth only), and sensitive payment info is handled exclusively by Stripe. While we use reasonable security measures, no system is completely immune from vulnerabilities.

6. Cookies

We keep our use of cookies minimal:

• Essential Cookies: Used to keep you signed in and enable site functionality.
• Preference Cookies: Used to remember your theme (dark/light mode) preference.
• Marketing: We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade user information. Your data may be shared only when necessary with our trusted service providers (including OAuth providers, Stripe, OpenAI and Crossref) or when required by law.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Texts and files you submit are kept in your account history and in our usage logs for up to 12 months, for quality checks, abuse prevention and billing disputes. They are never used to train models; content needed to provide a requested feature may be processed by the providers described in section 4; images sent to the AI Image Detector are scored and discarded in the same request. You can delete your history at any time from your account or by writing to [email protected]. We retain account information only as long as necessary. If you delete your account, most personal data is permanently removed, except information we must retain for technical, security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

9. Your Rights

You have control over your information. Key rights include accessing your data, correcting inaccuracies, requesting deletion, and withdrawing consent. To make a request, please contact us.

10. Chrome Extension

• The extension stores your account connection token locally and sends it only to humanize.fast. Disconnect removes that token and the extension's browser-session state; it does not delete your server account history.
• Selected, pasted or requested page text is sent to humanize.fast when you check it. Automatic visible-post checks run only after you enable them for a tab. Session-only feed summaries contain text hashes, platform names, scores and check times, not author profiles or post URLs.
• Images are uploaded when you choose Check image. Image bytes are scored and discarded; the existing usage record may include the filename, classification and metadata findings.
• Google Docs history is retrieved only on your request using your current Google document access. Available revisions are processed locally for a preview, not sent to humanize.fast. History is held in panel memory and cleared when you leave the tool or close the panel. The extension does not continuously record keystrokes.
• Citation lookup sends only the references you submit to Crossref through humanize.fast. This endpoint does not add those references to account usage history. The input and results are cleared from panel memory when you leave More tools.
• The Fix button includes up to 4,000 characters in a humanize.fast dashboard URL. That text may appear in browser history and server request logs. Copying or saving a report creates a local copy at your request.
