Marathon's senior design lead, Kevin Yanes, admits that the "constant loop failure" didn't resonate with players in the way Bungie had hoped. Marathon has been hemorraging players since its debut earlier in the year, which may have lead Bungie to revive Destiny 2 content. In other news, The Verge has revealed the next Halo Studios-made Halo game was still years away, forcing Microsoft to pull the project and hand the IP over to Activision. It's been five years since Halo Infinite, which itself was five years after Halo 5. And finally, Insider Gaming reports that Ubisoft pitched a Zelda game to Nintendo...with Gannondorf as the protagonist. Nintendo decided not to pursue the project after seeing a prototype in 2023.

Touch down across Perimeter, Dire Marsh, Night Marsh, and Outpost to complete objectives across all the zones, secure the Ordnance, and wield the mighty Firestorm weapon that packs explosive rounds.
