Notes
Hello, cyberpals. I make Pushover and old Macintosh stuff and sometimes OpenBSD stuff for you and me.
I've switched over Infinite Mac's classic Mac emulation to @twvd's awesome Snow, which unblocks A/UX emulation: https://infinitemac.org/?filter=aux
There's a behind-the-scenes blog post at https://blog.persistent.info/2026/09/infinite-mac-snow-and-aux.html detailing this and other site updates.
In case your DM250 ran OpenBSD too fast, I made armv7 able to boot from a softraid disk so you can have a fully encrypted eMMC root.
Initially it looked like it was hanging after entering the passphrase but after much debugging I realized it was just taking a ridiculous amount of time (like 30 seconds) doing bcrypt hashing, which turned out to be because u-boot was running with CPU caches disabled on the RK3128, so I fixed that.
So even if you aren't using crypto softraid, if you update u-boot you'll get a faster boot since efiboot will load a little faster and that will load and start the kernel boot faster.
what are some smaller software projects or networks that need donations?
Making games and throwing them back through the time machine.

I don't understand how people can look at these dependency trees in the average rust project and think we've advanced systems programming. This is not just a supply chain disaster, it makes building this software super inefficient.
Do people have any good examples of interesting low or no dependency rust projects? Just curious to look at the difference in code quality.
I sold everything and have nothing to bring home

VCF or bust
I will be at Vintage Computer Festival Midwest this weekend with a table (B114) of Dolch stuff, because there are too many Macs there
First public release of Uxn68k
Still very new software, might not work at all on your machine. (But if you do try it out let me know how it goes!)

From a PSA at the end of a Twilight Zone episode
A small board sits between the ADB trackball (originally made by Logitech btw) and the logic board which has a USB port that currently houses a Logitech wireless receiver (but could support any USB mouse). It translates USB mouse HID input to ADB mouse packets.
For the mouse scroll wheel, it sends ADB keyboard Page Up and Page Down keys.
And now for my next trick...
I saw this SCSIknife Multi used in CuriousMarc's video (https://youtu.be/85mLokY_oe0)

I like that the single form factor has all 3 connectors (50-pin, 2.5" portable, and DB-25) populated so it can be used on anything without having to buy separate devices.
boo to whoever popularized pronouncing 'ctl' like 'cuttle' instead of 'control'
While I sort out what went wrong with the xenocara issue, I've set out to get a more recent build of game of trees on this since armv7 packages are beyond stale. Surprisingly very usable even with just my ttys and some wifi. Battery life seems solid with the backlight lowered even a little bit.
Something I've been working on for a few months...
Simple Spooler 0.3 can be found on #GlobalTalk in the Cloudbusting zone, at Puppet Head:Ken's Stuff:Simple Spooler 0.3.
I've also put the source on AmendHub (thanks @jcs !) Amend is a nifty source code control system for classic Mac OS. https://amendhub.com/thecloud/SimpleSpooler
got a reply from one of the macintosh garden admins - it appears that the site now officially welcomes slop coded submissions. i can't express how disappointed i am with the direction the site has taken with the new ownership. after 15+ years of archival contributions, i'm no longer going to be submitting anything there.
