I’m Renan, the independent WordPress designer and developer behind PixelCrafted.

I’ve spent more than 15 years working on real websites—repairing problems, redesigning outdated sites, building new WordPress websites, maintaining long-running projects, and helping businesses make better use of the websites they already have.

I work primarily through clear written communication. No mandatory discovery call is required to show me a website, explain a problem, or ask for a recommendation.

15+ Years of Real WordPress Work

My experience comes from years of production work rather than one type of website or one type of project.
I’ve worked on new builds, redesigns, migrations, Elementor and WordPress development, forms, performance, technical and on-page SEO implementation, security problems, content-heavy websites, and ongoing maintenance.
That experience has made me more cautious about unnecessary rebuilds and more focused on understanding what is actually wrong, what is already working, and what the business needs next.

The Kind of WordPress Work I Do

Most projects fall into one of four practical categories:

Repair — fix a defined WordPress problem without turning it into a larger project.

Redesign — improve an existing website that has outgrown its structure, design, mobile experience, or content presentation.

Build — create a professional WordPress website around the business, its services, customers, and goals.

Maintain — keep an established WordPress website updated, backed up, monitored, and supported over time.

I recommend the smallest sensible scope. If a repair is enough, I won’t push a redesign. If the current website can be improved, I won’t recommend rebuilding it simply because a larger project costs more.

How I Work

My process is written, direct, and deliberately practical.
The principles are simple:
  • Understand first: review the actual website, problem, or business need before recommending work.
  • Right-size the solution: repair, redesign, rebuild, or maintain based on what the situation actually requires.
  • Define the scope: deliverables, exclusions, price, and expected turnaround are confirmed in writing.
  • Communicate directly: you work with the person doing the work—not through an account manager.
  • Protect what already works: existing content, URLs, functionality, and business value are not discarded casually.
  • Keep meetings optional: most projects can be reviewed, scoped, and managed through email and written updates.

Built Around the Business, Not the Template

An electrician, computer repair company, publication, consultant, legal service, and charter business may all use WordPress, but their customers do not need the same information or take action in the same way.
I start with the business: what it sells, who it serves, what customers need to understand, how people find it, what already works, and what gets in the way. Structure, content, calls to action, and design follow from that.
The goal is not to make every site look like PixelCrafted. The goal is to make the website make sense for the business using it.

Why I Stay Independent

PixelCrafted is intentionally a small, independent business.

The person reviewing the website, defining the scope, doing the work, and answering your questions is the same person.

I use modern tools and automation when they make the work more efficient, but project decisions are still based on the actual website and business—not on a generic workflow.

For clients who prefer fewer meetings, that also means the process can stay clear and documented through email and written updates.
