All modules of the Stackable Data Platform (SDP) are free and open source. When you need commercial support, managed operations or hands-on expertise, you add exactly what you need.
Subscription
Contractual support and assurances for organizations running SDP themselves: SLAs (9x5 or 24x7), liability and a commercial license option, plus a ticket system, VEX assessments and monitoring dashboards. SDP runs on any Kubernetes (incl. Red Hat OpenShift). Support covers both the operators and all SDP data apps (Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, Trino, OpenSearch etc.).
Managed Data Lakehouse
A carefully selected subset of SDP data apps, combined into a production-ready data lakehouse that we operate for you. Only the modules a lakehouse needs, so your team works with data instead of running infrastructure.
Consulting & Training
Architecture reviews, migration support and training, delivered by the team that builds the platform.
Community Edition
All core modules, self-managed and secure by default, with SBOMs included. Stackable operators under OSL-3.0, bundled data apps under Apache 2.0. Community support, no SLA or commercial license.

The Stackable Operator framework is a Rust library supporting the fast and unified development of Kubernetes controllers and operators. It is used by all platform operators.
The SDP Operators uniquely control each individual data app lifecycle from initial deployment, including maintenance windows, certificate management, restarts and updates.
All data apps include built in support for Prometheus and are designed to integrate with existing monitoring solutions.
Secure by default data apps support options such as LDAP, TLS, Kerberos and Open Policy Agent where applicable.
Software vulnerability management provides proactive monitoring and detailed SBOMs for visibility and control over potential vulnerabilities.
Free support from the open source community with all repositories on public GitHub.
Special configuration rules help validate individual configurations, promote best practices and avoid misconfiguration. Available with Basic or Business Subscription.
Prepackaged Grafana based dashboards provide best practice overviews of system health and mission critical stack vitals. Available with Basic or Business Subscription.
VEX assessments for Stackable products and targeted analyses for third party open source data apps. Available with Basic or Business Subscription.
Individual Jira based support system to track open issues. Available with Basic or Business Subscription.
Community Edition and Basic Subscription are licensed under OSL 3.0. The Business Subscription allows an individual license agreement for commercial uses.
The Stackable Data Platform is compatible with OpenShift and listed in the Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog. Available with Business Subscription.
