What Is a Tango Puzzle?
Tango is a logic game played on a grid of suns and moons. Each Tango puzzle starts with some fixed symbols and clues between cells. Your task is to fill the empty squares so every row, column, and marked pair follows the rules. A placement must work in both directions, so one solved cell can reveal the next move.

How to Play Tango: The Core Rules
Tap or click an empty cell for a sun, tap again for a moon, and once more to clear it. Keep the starting symbols in place and follow these rules:
- Balance every row and column: each needs equal numbers of suns and moons.
- Never put three identical symbols consecutively across or down. A pair is allowed.
- Follow the signs: = joins matching symbols, while × joins opposite symbols. An unmarked edge adds no condition.

The daily Tango puzzle set has three core boards and two optional bonus boards. Complete Core 3 for a short session, then continue to Bonus 2 when you want more.

Unlimited Tango
Keep playing Tango puzzles online after the daily set, or practise one grid size without waiting for tomorrow. Choose New puzzle to keep playing in your selected size.

Tango Board Sizes
Choose the amount of grid you want to work through. All five sizes use the same rules, with larger boards giving you more cells and crossing clues to track.
- 4×4 Tango — 16 cells; 2 suns and 2 moons in each row and column.
- 6×6 Tango — 36 cells; 3 suns and 3 moons in each row and column.
- 8×8 Tango — 64 cells; 4 suns and 4 moons in each row and column.
- 10×10 Tango — 100 cells; 5 suns and 5 moons in each row and column.
- 12×12 Tango — 144 cells; 6 suns and 6 moons in each row and column.

How to Get Better at Tango
Learn to explain one move. Start with a small board and identify which rule forces each placement. Follow the complete walkthrough in the beginner’s guide.

How many daily Tango puzzles can I play?
Each daily set has five puzzles: three core boards followed by two optional bonus boards. Complete the core set to finish your daily session, or continue to the bonus boards for more play.
When do the daily Tango puzzles change?
The daily set changes at 00:00 UTC. If you are still playing at midnight, your current board stays open so you can finish it before moving to the new set.
Is there a time limit?
Daily and Unlimited timers record playing time without counting down. Timed starts with 180 seconds: solve random boards and earn size-based bonus time until the clock reaches zero.
Is Tango free to play, and do I need an account?
Tango is free to play without an account. When saving is available, your progress stays in this browser on this device. It does not sync between devices, and clearing browser data removes your saved progress.
