Questions Developers Ask

Can I use the API for free?

Yes. Without a key you get 10 calls a day per IP address. A free account gives you 1,000 calls a month, and no card is required.

What counts as a call?

Every request to the API is one credit, whichever endpoint you call. The only exception is checking your balance at /account/usage, which is free.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Calls return a 429 error with the code insufficient_credits and the date your credits reset. Upgrade to Base or buy a credit pack to keep going.

Do unused credits roll over?

Plan credits reset every month and don’t roll over. Credits from a credit pack never expire.

How do I authenticate?

Send your key in the Authorization header as a Bearer token. You can also pass it as an api_key query parameter, for example in an image tag.

Which formats do you return?

Every logo comes as SVG, with a direct CDN link. The PNG endpoint renders any logo as a PNG image.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel from Manage Billing in your API Dashboard. You keep Base until the end of the month you paid for.

Do you charge VAT?

Prices include VAT where it applies. EU businesses can enter their VAT number at checkout for the reverse charge.
