When you're researching a competitor's WordPress plugin, the hard part isn't finding the listing.
It's comparing the things that matter without jumping between multiple pages.
A WP dev was looking for their next WordPress plugin idea.
They found a tiny niche with only a few competing plugins.
Looked small.
Then StatWP showed something interesting: low competition, steady search demand, and some abandoned plugins with surprisingly strong installs.
A WooCommerce WordPress Plugin - "QuickShipD" sat at 10 active installs for three months. Flat.
Its author couldn't tell why. WordPress.org rounds installs into buckets, so "10+" looks identical whether you gained one user or nine. Nothing to act on.

Check:
• Is it actually growing?
• How does it compare with competitors?
• Which keywords does it rank for?
• What are users complaining about?
• Is the niche growing or shrinking?
