Hello everyone, and thanks for letting me move here.
A little bit about me, I work in embedded software. I like retro computing, obscure code and weird machines. I'm also known to walk into the woods and sleep on the ground.
You'll see me post about those interests, but I also tend to complain about tech and other things. There will also be regional posts about Cleveland, Ohio, USofA since that's where I'm at.
Also, I don't have the experience you do, so if you ever have any suggestions please don't hesitate to tell me. I love learning new things.
And if I don't CW something I should or don't caption a photo I'd appreciate a reminder, I'm trying to be better about that.
This is the same school that shut down LGBTQ+ and women's programs to comply in advance of fascists.
It is sad that they are pitting public institutions against the actual public, but they didn't have to do this.
Early today, WCSB, a 50-year-old student run public college run radio station, was shut down to silence diverse student voices.
Here's a post from my sister's town about the dog guarding ewes grazing the solar panel field.
My sister was saying how her electricity was so cheap because their small town has a big solar power station, and that they have a herd of goats around the solar panels to cut the grass, and they posted the dog that herds the goats loves visitors and treats.
And I thought this was #solarpunk as heck.
well I can't go to my regular coffee shop because they would rather close than let their workers unionize
Was taking my dog for a walk, a contractor outside a house was neck deep in a hole he was digging. Some utility workers from the city that happen to be working on the street come over with a utility line detector, find the line the guy was looking for, and spray paint a spot on the grass for where he needs to dig. The contractor profusely thanked the city workers.
