Dalvin Aboagye
Dalvin is an associate producer for Freakonomics Radio. Before joining the team, he worked as a producer at Latitude Media, working on shows like Where the Internet Lives, Watt It Takes, and With Great Power. When he isn’t working, you can find him listening to music, at a concert, or regaining a childlike sense of wonder through pottery.
Augusta Chapman
Augusta is an associate producer for Freakonomics Radio. Before working at the network, she studied documentary audio at the Salt Institute in Portland, Maine. She likes ambient music and detective fiction.
Ellen Frankman
Ellen is the executive editor for the Freakonomics Radio Network. Ellen previously worked at WNYC, NBC, and Gimlet Media, where she was part of the team that won a Pulitzer Prize for the investigative podcastStolen. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and taking her two dachshunds to the beach.
Elsa Hernandez
Elsa is the network coordinator at the Freakonomics Radio Network. She grew up in Atlanta and graduated from the University of Georgia where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in English & Creative Writing. Her hobbies include perfecting the manual pour-over technique of coffee brewing, playing D&D, and training her rescue dog, Churro.
Theo Jacobs
Theo is a producer for Freakonomics Radio. Prior to joining the team, he worked at the RAND Corporation as a part of their research programming group. He studied history as an undergrad at the University of Chicago and received a masters in computer science. He lives in Boerum Hill, and he likes sports, chocolate, and tending to his tomato plants.
Jeremy Johnston
Jeremy is an audio engineer for the Freakonomics Radio Network. Before joining the Freakonomics Radio team he co-owned a recording studio in upstate New York where he spent a decade recording bands and singer-songwriters. After that he toured the world working as a live sound engineer, mixing concerts in venues from Auckland to Zurich. He loves a good barbecue, hiking in the Adirondacks, and trying (usually failing) to teach his dog new tricks.
Zack Lapinski
After narrowly avoiding a career in finance, Zack joined Freakonomics Radio where he is now a senior producer. His economics degree from New York University has been put to surprisingly good use. He can be found in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, where he has a decidedly uneconomical number of books.
Pete Madden
Pete is a senior producer for the Freakonomics Radio Network. He was previously a member of the ABC News Investigative Unit, where he developed groundbreaking investigations for print and broadcast and contributed coverage to Good Morning America, World News Tonight with David Muir, Nightline and 20/20, as well as ESPN and FiveThirtyEight. His work has earned a Scripps Howard Award and two Edward R. Murrow Awards. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the Columbia Journalism School.
Eleanor Osborne
Eleanor, a.k.a. Nellie, is technical director at the Freakonomics Radio Network. Nellie is a Bostonian who studied Italian language and literature at UConn before doing a stint in Lisbon, Portugal. Prior to joining the Freakonomics Radio team full-time, she was nominated for an Emmy for mixing Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. She enjoys corgis, pretending she speaks lots of languages, and playing the saxophone.
Gabriel Roth
Gabriel is the executive director of the Freakonomics Radio Network. Gabe previously worked at Slate Podcasts. Before that, he was a newspaper reporter, got an M.F.A. in creative writing, and wrote a novel. He was born in London.
