Subscribr basics

What is Subscribr?

Subscribr is one workspace for a YouTube channel. It finds video ideas from what is already working in your niche, writes the script in your channel’s voice, designs the thumbnail, and renders the finished video. You can do every step yourself, or hand the work to your AI agent.

What kind of channel does this work for?

Any channel that plans its videos before it films them — documentaries, news, product reviews, tutorials, business, marketing, and story-based content. Faceless channels work well.

I do not have a YouTube channel yet. Can I still use Subscribr?

Yes. Channel setup asks you to point at a YouTube channel so Subscribr can build your audience profile and your writing voice. If you have no channel yet, name a channel that already serves the audience you want. Subscribr uses it as the starting point, and you can change it later.

Do I have to be on camera?

No. Faceless videos put a voiceover over AI-generated visuals in 14 visual styles. An AI avatar puts a presenter on screen without filming. Or upload your own recording and Subscribr edits around it — cuts, b-roll, graphics, and captions included.

Is any of this going to get my channel flagged or demonetised?

No. AI is not what gets channels demonetised — low-effort content is. YouTube’s rules do not care which tools you used. They care whether the video is original, adds something, and is not the same thing churned out on repeat. That is the standard Subscribr is built around, end to end: what comes out is shaped by your angle, your research and your channel.

Do I need technical or design skills?

No. You give Subscribr a topic or pick one of its ideas, and it walks you through the rest. Most people finish their first script in 10 to 20 minutes.

Ideas, scripts and video

What do I actually get out of Subscribr?

Four things, and each one is a finished piece of work:

• Video ideas with a title, an angle, a thumbnail concept, and a recommended length.
• A complete script with a hook, a structure that holds attention, and an outro.
• Thumbnail images you can publish.
• A finished video file, rendered and ready to upload.

Scripts download as a Word document or copy to your clipboard for Google Docs and other software.

Does Subscribr make the video itself, or only the script?

Both. Subscribr renders the finished video — voiceover, visuals, b-roll, and captions — from the script you wrote in it. Every customer can generate video, as long as they have video credits.

How long can a script be?

From about one minute to three hours. Pick the length that matches your format, whether you publish Shorts or long-form documentaries.

How long does the whole thing take?

Most people finish a script in 10 to 20 minutes. From a channel link to a finished video, expect under two hours. The exact time depends on how specific your brief is, how many options you explore, and how much you edit by hand.

What if I do not like what it writes?

You are never stuck with the first draft. Ask for alternatives, give feedback in plain language, change the tone, or edit the text directly. You can also set a voice profile and custom writing instructions on the channel, so every later script starts closer to what you want.

Which AI models can I use?

Subscribr gives you a choice of models for script generation, and we update them as new versions ship. Today the list includes Claude Sonnet 5, GPT 5.6 Terra, DeepSeek V4, Grok 4.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Gemini 3 Flash, GLM 5.2, Kimi K2.6, and MiniMax M3.

Script credits are charged on script length, not on which model you pick, so no model costs more than another.

What languages does Subscribr support?

Subscribr writes in 44 languages, among them English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Arabic. Voiceovers are multilingual too, so you can publish the same video in several markets.

How does the AI Thumbnail Studio work?

You describe the video and Subscribr designs the thumbnail from 157 proven formats. Three actions each spend one thumbnail credit:

• Brainstorm — produces four concept sketches from your video idea.
• Clone — builds a thumbnail from a reference thumbnail already proven in your niche.
• Edit — refines a thumbnail you already have, from your feedback.

Can I use my own footage?

Yes. Upload your recording and Subscribr edits it for you: it cuts the dead air and adds b-roll, graphics, and captions. You do not choose an avatar or a visual style for this path — your footage is the video.

Can I keep earlier versions of a script?

Yes. Subscribr keeps the version history of every script and outline. You can read an earlier version, compare it with the current one, and restore it at any time.

Can I work on several projects at once?

Yes. A project is one video from end to end — its idea, its script, its thumbnail, and the rendered file. The Projects board holds every project you have in flight and shows you what stage each one has reached, so a channel’s whole pipeline sits on one screen.

Research and Intel

What is Intel?

Intel is our YouTube database — more than 35 million videos. You can search it for channels and videos, track competitors, and find outliers: the videos pulling far more views than their channel normally gets. Those outliers are where Subscribr’s video ideas come from.

How does research work?

You add sources to a script and Subscribr reads them, then writes from them. Every plan carries 75,000 words of research storage.

You can also ask Subscribr to research a topic for you, and it gathers the sources itself.

What can I add as research?

Web pages, YouTube video transcripts, PDF documents, Word documents, text files, images, and text you paste in yourself.

Social media links are not supported directly. Copy the text you want and add it with Add Text instead.

Can I reuse the same research across scripts?

Yes. Star a source and Subscribr includes it in every new script on that channel. It saves repeating the same setup for a recurring format.

Plans and credits

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. No card, and no trial clock. The free plan gives you 1 channel and 1 user, the Projects board, channel setup, and each month:

• 3 idea batches, with up to 10 ideas in each
• 10 Intel searches
• 10 chat messages
• 25 video transcripts

It stays free for as long as you want it.

What needs a paid plan?

Anything Subscribr generates for you: scripts, thumbnails, and finished videos. Planning, research, the Projects board, and saving scripts you wrote somewhere else are free. You pay for production, not for organising.

What are the three kinds of credits?

Subscribr meters three kinds of work, and each has its own balance. Spending one never touches another.

• Script credits pay for writing a script.
• Thumbnail credits pay for a Thumbnail Studio generation.
• Video credits pay for rendering a finished video. One video credit is 60 seconds of standard video.

Every paid plan includes all three. You can see all three balances, and buy more of any of them, on your billing page.

How many credits does each plan include?

Every month, on every cadence:

• Growth — 60 script credits, 150 thumbnails, and 40 minutes of video.
• Pro — 180 script credits, 500 thumbnails, and 110 minutes of video.
• Max — 300 script credits, 1,000 thumbnails, and 240 minutes of video.

How many script credits does a script cost?

It depends on the length. A one-minute script costs one credit, a ten-minute script costs 5, and a three-hour script costs the most. The exact cost is shown before you generate.

Chat, outlines, planning questions, research, and every edit you make after a script exists are all free.

How does video pricing work?

A video’s cost depends on its length and on the visual mix you choose. Before anything renders, Subscribr quotes the exact price from your real script and settings. That quote is the final charge — there is no correction after the render. Every price on our site is in US dollars.

Do unused credits roll over?

Credits included with your plan refresh at the start of each billing cycle. They do not accumulate. Credits you buy on top — video top-ups and thumbnail packs — stay yours until you use them, for as long as your subscription is active.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Nothing breaks. Your workspace and everything you have made stay exactly where they are. You can add video credits with a top-up, buy a thumbnail pack, or move up a plan. Top-ups and packs do not reset with your monthly cycle.

Can I pay monthly, or do I have to pay for a year?

Either. Every plan is available monthly or annually. Annual costs two months less than paying month by month for a year.

Can I change plans or cancel later?

At any time, from your billing page. An upgrade applies immediately. A downgrade takes effect at your next billing cycle. If you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for, and anything you bought on top stays yours until then.

Do you give refunds?

No. All purchases are final — subscriptions, credits, and packs alike. You can cancel at any time to stop future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Start free. When you are ready to publish, Growth is built for a finished video every week, and Pro or Max carry several channels and a team. You can change plans at any time.

Channels and teams

What is a channel in Subscribr?

A channel is the workspace for one YouTube property or one content series. Each channel carries its own audience profile, writing voice, competitors, research library, and Projects board, so two very different channels never contaminate each other’s scripts.

How many channels and team members do I get?

• Free — 1 channel, 1 user
• Growth — 3 channels, 3 users
• Pro — 5 channels, 10 users
• Max — unlimited channels and users

Can I control what each team member sees?

Yes, two ways. Every member holds a role:

• Admin — can create, read, update, and delete anything on the team.
• Editor — can read and update channels, and create scripts and chats.
• Viewer — can read only.

On top of the role, an admin can limit a member to named channels. A voice-over artist can then see the one channel they work on, and nothing else.

Can my team work on the same script together?

Yes. Several people can hold the same script open, and edits appear live. Subscribr saves the work automatically and keeps the version history, so no one overwrites anybody.

AI agents, API and MCP

Can I connect my own AI agent?

Yes, on every plan, including free. Point your agent at our MCP server and it works your channel the way you do — the same channels, the same credits, the same Projects board.

Which agents work with Subscribr?

Does connecting an agent cost extra?

No. Connecting is free on every plan. What costs is the work itself: your agent spends the same script, thumbnail, and video credits you do. It also sees the exact price of a video before it submits one, so it can never spend more than you expect.

What can an agent actually do?

Generate video ideas, turn an idea into a script project, search Intel, and run the full production sequence from idea to a packaged, scripted, rendered video. If your agent writes the script itself, save it into Subscribr for free and it flows through the same pipeline — packaging, thumbnails, and rendering included.

Is there a REST API?

Yes. Everything an agent can do, your own code can do over plain HTTP, with a token from your Integrations page. The OpenAPI contract is the authoritative list of operations.

Security and privacy

Do I have to give you access to my YouTube account?

No. Subscribr never reads your YouTube Studio data or your private analytics. It works from public YouTube data only.

Is my work secure?

Your channels and scripts are stored on hardened servers behind several layers of hardware, software, and network defence. Every team member gets their own account, so nobody has to share a password, and you can turn on two-factor authentication.
