Yes. The free online mixtape maker uses official music links, a retro wrapper, and a note. It does not generate, download, cache, or host the referenced recordings, so it does not use original-song credits.

One original song costs 3 credits. The $7.99 pack includes 9 credits and can create up to 3 songs. The $24.99 pack includes 36 credits and can create up to 12 songs. The $39.99 pack includes 66 credits and can create up to 22 songs.

Yes. You listen to the song before you send. The private gift page plays the same original recording for the recipient. A failed generation or a failed save of the audio follows the server-side refund path.

Yes. After the preview is ready, the creator can open the line editor, change individual lines, save the draft, and make the lyrics sound more like the relationship.

Yes. A signed-in creator can invite a partner, sibling, friend, or family member by email. Invited collaborators edit the private workspace; the recipient-facing share link stays view-only.

Yes. The recipient can open a private share link in a modern browser without a TapeMuse account or app installation.

TapeMuse may read available title, cover, author, and provider metadata. Playback stays on the official service. TapeMuse does not download, cache, separate, or upload the linked audio to a generation model.

You can record your own short voice note to play before the songs: up to 15 seconds on a mixtape, and up to 45 seconds with an original song. Recipients can skip it. Voice cloning is not available.

After you submit an original-song request, TapeMuse queues music generation and prepares a preview. Timing depends on the current service load. Listen to the preview before you share the private page.

Yes. The original theme song is generated from your story, feeling, sound, and language. It is not a live studio session and it is not a copy of a linked recording.

Credits in your wallet do not expire. The current signup credit is for an optional lyric draft; a complete original song uses 3 credits. A song created entirely with complimentary credits, when such a reward is available, stays playable for 14 days. A song made with paid credits stays playable for 1 year. After that, the recording is no longer available; the note and lyrics can remain on the private page. The recipient’s access follows the song, not whether the sender is still a member.

Edit the lyrics line by line after the song is ready. If generation or saving the audio fails, the original-song path follows the server-side refund rules. TapeMuse does not promise unlimited free remakes of a successful song.
