3 data breach emails so far this week. 2 of them charities, both using something called Beacon CRM. The other is Framework and a third party called Metabase.

I have no direct relationship with these third party companies and yet here we are:

Burner e-mails, cards and passwords are no longer enough. We need burner billing addresses and names too.

Built myself a tiny #Steam #Machine. The NUC 14 was on sale and the disks and RAM were salvaged from my computer bits draw. 9TB of storage, 32GB of RAM and an Intel 155h (with Arc iGPU).

It should be able to play anything the Steam Deck can, anything more demanding can be streamed from our home server.

Running #Bazzite with Android TV via Waydroid.  It has basic HDMI CEC and an RF remote which will boot it up along with the telly box. Still tinkering on the software side and having fun with the new Linux build of 240-MP (https://github.com/anthonycaccese/240-MP).

It's been a week since I got home from A&E after being knocked unconscious in a cycle accident (the Polis report says with another cyclist). I still have no memory of it, my arms have gone like mouldy potatoes from bruising and I'm tired. Just want to be back to normal now.

Solar host has fallen over this evening. Seems fairly catastrophic too. I thought my emergency rebuild a week or so ago was the solution. Perhaps not 🤔️. Battery was reporting 90% charge earlier today but it won't boot hooked up to battery now 😞️.

Today we will find out if the Swedish government will vote in favour of tearing up my citizenship application. 100,000 people will be impacted by this decision and I cannot see a single headline about it.

Hello #css nerds 👋 ... I have spotted what I think is a regression in ​#firefox where the border-radius on the bottom left edge gets ignored in certain conditions. Before I get all ranty though and look at filing a bug, can you see anything wrong with the following CSS?

Comparing the same demo in a Chrome browser shows the border-radius as expected. It's a super strange bug as it has been fine until the last few weeks.

Experimenting with creating a CLI tool for my #11ty starter elva. Managing languages is a rather manual process at the moment and this takes the edge off. You can:

• Define a new language. It will optionally copy content from your default language so you have content to translate.
• Switch default language, which pushes it to / in the build, with secondary languages at /{locale}
• Remove a language, which cleans up the filesystem

It's not quite ready yet as I need to think about content types (collections) and how to manage their slugs in different languages. For example you might want /support for English and /es/apoyo for Spanish. The code can handle this already, but they are defined manually in 11tydata files... I think I need to centralise them somewhere.

Moving house today so my server and this instance will be offline for a bit... Maybe a long bit as the new place currently has a fault with the fibre. Hoping it will be more of a short bit though. See you soon!

Decided to see what would happen if I connected my #Home #Assistant voice assistant to a local Ollama instance. In the hope of creating a little personality I gave it the following additional prompt:

and after a short while, it responded...

I've been a detective for many years, and one case that still stands out in my mind was the "Case of the Missing Heirloom." It was a complex and intriguing mystery that involved a family's treasured heirloom, a priceless diamond necklace that had been passed down through generations...

After what felt like 5 minutes of setting the scene, it then proceeded to establish a suspect and motive...

I re-questioned each of them, this time paying closer attention to their reactions and body language. And it was then that I saw it – a small, telling glint in Scott Evans' eye. It turned out that Scott had been struggling financially and saw the necklace as an opportunity to solve his problems.

And somehow, it picked me 😱 🤣

... In the end, I recovered the necklace and brought Scott to justice.
