The Roots of Progress is a nonprofit dedicated to establishing a new philosophy of progress for the 21st century.
We live in an age that has lost its optimism. The 19th century believed in the power of technology and industry to better humanity. In the 20th century, this belief gave way to skepticism and distrust. We need a new way forward.
We run a fellowship for progress writers, and host an annual progress conference. Our CEO writes essays on the history of technology and the philosophy of progress, and gives talks and interviews on the same.
We are a 501(c)(3) public educational charity. In the US, donations to such organizations are tax-deductible.
