- Alcatel dominated the ADSL chipset and equipment market in the 90s. But even millions of users didn't save the company from oblivion. Once the spinal cord of the internet, the company was rejected by the market. My interpretation is that investors and consumers couldn't care
- Arithmetics of drawdowns is savage. or simpler, what you win and what you lose are not the same. e.g. if your asset drops by 80% it must climb 400%. A 90% loss requires a 900% gain to recover. For this reason good traders manage the downside risk first.
- Something is afoot in Bhutan because it's not the first message I see signaling growing institutional interest in the region.
