Dear @OurSantaMonica - yesterday, in Santa Monica, I flushed my car key down a toilet, and my phone was in my car - a wonderful man named Rick kindly and generously let me use his phone to text my husband - I thanked him profusely, but if you know Rick, please hug him for me.

When @NFL teams reduce to 53 today, dreams for some will end - yes, I know this happens in many contexts, not just sports, but every season on this day I remember the times I sat with players who were in tears - many teams handle this with compassion, all teams should.

As I shared on @CBSSportsHQ Spotlight, "big hot mess" is a term we learned in law school - okay, it's not, but what's going on right now w/respect to the @NCAA is a big hot mess and my concern is that the players involved are not getting good legal advice.
