Will be interesting to see if this is just a negotiating tactic. Math still makes zero sense IMO and I think it likely just bogs Stripe down creating more issues than it’s worth, so if this sticks I think right decision and they dodged a bullet.
The particularly interesting thing about the Instinct conversation is just how emblematic it is of the groupthink endemic in tech and venture.
