    Food trucks don't actually take business away from restaurants, they are often complimentary in making a street and neighborhood more vibrant. Sometimes I want a taco and other times I want a pub burger. I'm not changing my mind last minute.

    I have a Synology media server tucked away under the TV. The router is down there too. Why have such a massive appliance?

    I predict that in 5-10 years every household will have a local AI server that serves all the AI workload of the house, digital or robotics. It’ll be as common as a WiFi router or a fridge it creates a private mesh network to link all the devices in the house and does inference

    If one continues this metaphor, adding more lanes is suburban sprawl (bad) while building more homes in urban areas increases density like moving to busses or trains. In this way, a denser mode of transit can accommodate more people without spreading out.

    Guy who thinks building more houses will depress prices but that adding more lanes to the highway won’t relieve congestion.
