Jason Arday has taken his own life. He deserved the criticism and even ridicule he received. But once the story exploded, he should have been put on suicide watch and given serious emotional support. It was right that he lost his job. But he should never have lost his life.

Today, President Trump announced that Medicaid will no longer cover puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for children. Compare that to the UK, where the government is about to use children as guinea pigs and trial puberty blockers on them in return for £500 of gift vouchers.

It is being widely reported that Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, is considering dealing with overcrowding in UK prisons by housing male offenders in female prisons. We don’t care whether it’s justified on the basis of ’self-ID’ or ‘overcrowding’. Keep men out of women’s prisons.
