- NIMBYism can block the development of new houses, power plants, and train stations, unless we find ways to tackle it. Our Director of Housing Policy @o_mcpartlin was on Newstalk last week to talk about getting local communities to support new development.
- Is there a solution to NIMBYism? Our recent work on creative ways to get people to support new development was featured in The Journal:
- Ireland pays more for wind energy than other EU countries. Why? Part of the answer is power lines and pylons. We need a lot more of them to support our wind-heavy energy system. But big, imposing pylons aren’t very popular with locals.
