Nvidia's new Vera CPU exists because agent loops stopped scaling with raw GPU. 88 cores tuned for the orchestration loop, up to 30x throughput. The GPU maker just told you where the bottleneck moved. Listen.

AT&T cut AI coding costs 56% with only a 2% quality hit, using a router that sends easy queries to cheap open models and saves frontier models for hard ones. The moat has moved. It used to be the best model. Now it's knowing which one to reach for.

Stripe just bought OpenRouter for 7B. The firm that routes all the AI models now also moves the money for the ones people actually pick. When one company owns both the gateway and the billing, choosing the best model stops being a neutral call.

OpenAI dissolved its safety team weeks before a 1 trillion dollar IPO. The group that catches catastrophic risk was scattered into regular R&D. When the exit is this close, safety is a line item, not a mission. The market hasn't priced that in.

Meta shipped a 30B open model that runs agents on a laptop. It's not trying to beat the frontier labs. It's making the boring local stack good enough that you stop renting intelligence by the token.
