On the Bobcat Lakes Fire in Montana’s @BvrhdDrldgeNF ranchers & Forest Service staff are working together to identify and relocate cattle from grazing allotments ahead of the fire. At the same time, fire crews & aircraft continue wildfire response operations to contain the fire.

Active forest management on the @WallowaWhitman National Forest helped slow the Olive Butte Fire’s spread toward Granite, Oregon. Fuel treatments reduced ground and ladder fuels, lowering fire intensity after a major run earlier this summer.

Firefighters and heavy equipment operators worked together to put out nearly 1,000 smoldering tires on the Old Trails Fire near Spokane, Washington. Their efforts are part of the wider response to the Spokane Area Fires, where crews face tough conditions every day.

2 MAFFS C-130 airtankers & support personnel from the @302AirliftWing have been deployed to Klamath Falls, OR, while 2 additional MAFFS C-130 airtankers from the @146AirliftWing have been deployed to Redding, CA to bolster wildfire response efforts nationally.
