In Codex for macOS, how can I create a new chat thread on a remote machine *without* creating a project? I.e. I am using my laptop but want to start a chat thread on my Mac mini.
This is how machine selection looks on iOS. I can't find this UI on macOS.
- After Codex'ing a few personal apps, it’s clear that the biggest barrier for my needs is data availability. LLMs can generate private API clients or browser extensions to extract. But this would all be so much easier if more services accepted reality and gave public API access.
- ChatGPT for macOS no longer lets you add a chat to a Project but it _does_ let you show/hide a pet.
- Big fan of the new Stripe careers page: stripe.com/careers (We are hiring for lots of roles, including a PM to work directly with me)
- What iOS/macOS apps are you using to interact with hosted/open source models? I default to Codex for everything not even because of the models, just because the UX of driving via ChatGPT on my phone/Macs can’t be beat.
