REMINDER: this is a CRITICAL security practice. If you don't follow this advice & your gmail account gets compromised, you are completely screwed. Attackers will reset your other account passwords via your email and then use your 2FA code to log in.
If you install Google Authenticator from the app store and follow the suggested instructions, your 2FA codes are by default saved to the cloud. I recommend not linking the Authenticator to your Google account, in which case you should see this "no cloud" icon in the upper right.
