“It’s just a tool” was maybe the right abstraction a year ago, but it’s definitely not right today. “It’s just an employee” is maybe closer to accurate, but it remains to be seen how much longer that lasts.

It's just a tool, right? A tool exactly like any other. A painter doesn't mind everyone knowing he used a paintbrush, a writer doesn't mind if everyone knows he typed the words out on a computer. AI is just another tool, it doesn't matter if people can tell you used it, right?
