For the record, this guy is Mike Lanier, “Michigan’s Tallest Man” and UCLA basketball player. He passed away in 2018 from cancer complicated by acromegaly. You can honor his legacy by donating to acromegaly.org In his case, I am flattered at the mistaken identity. Rest

I still can’t believe this happened: it was 2001 and I was requested (offered) to shoot a photo with EK. The only catch: the shoot had to take place near his home in Montana… in two days. I got on a flight the next morning.
