Mediabunny 1.42.0 is now out, adding THE most requested feature: full read/write support for HLS! 🚀 It's truly a game changer for client-side media processing. Here, I'm creating 5 renditions from a 40-second video in ~10 seconds, fully client-side, without a transcode server:

I don't buy the reasoning. YouTube Studio already shows creators their "impressions" which reflects a creators' true exposure just fine. So why shove that into views? Number go up?

Starting 8/24, views will count the moment a video begins to play (w/ no minimum watch time) across all formats (VOD, Shorts, & Live). We’re standardizing views to reflect creators’ true exposure across YouTube, making it easier to show their value to brand partners. This update

Mediabunny v1.55.0 ships with support for a new audio codec: DTS! 🚀 This is the most common audio codec on Blu-ray discs and quite widespread in the home theater space. With it, the new @mediabunny/dts extension provides a fast, WASM-based encoder and decoder for playing back

This Overwatch feature is the whole reason why Mediabunny exists, lol I saw it, wanted to add it to my webgame, realized the web had no good muxer libraries, made my own, and the rest is history!

Full DTS audio codec support landing in Mediabunny soon!! 👀 (read/write/decode/encode/mux/demux) This codec is the primary audio codec used on Blu-ray and is quite common in the home theater / feature film domain
