One of the opening acts of Trump's war of choice was the massacre of schoolkids in Iran. Those kids would be alive today if Congress had done our job and restrained the president's lust for power. Sadly, House Republicans again blocked a bill to end the war. A contemptible

I'm thinking of my friend John Lewis who left us six years ago today. John understood that democracy is never guaranteed, it depends on people willing to defend it. There's no better way to honor him than to carry on his fight for democracy, dignity, and justice.
