Those chickens are:
- grown in horrible conditions
- overfed to the point of not being able to stand on their legs
- live in their own poop and ammonia
- full of antibiotics and growth hormones
We should be sunsetting those supply chains, not celebrating them.
Offices with doors are best, especially for creatives like software engineers or designers. It's the IRL equivalent of turning off notifications and closing all apps.
I'm looking for Elixir engineers for my team at @fanaticslive! Modern Phoenix stack with Absinthe, Oban, Ecto, etc. Remote (EU timezone preferred). #ElixirJobs#MyElixirStatus
I think @elixirphoenix needs a mix task that generates oauth2-based authn instead of the default phx.gen.auth. It's best for users (nobody wants to create another password) and for builders (delegate auth to someone better than you). The livebeats demo app has this + it's great!
A helpful guide for what your full stack boilerplate must support:
- auth (signup, signin, sessions, impersonation, social, change password)
- email (transactional, templates)
- db (orm, migrations)
- api (rotate key)
- teams (authz)
- async jobs
- forms
- file upload
- logs

We need people in the @elixirlang community to take performance seriously. I'd be down to be involved. We can't keep saying "Elixir isn't built for performance". Things need to be fast. Everything else is excuses.
I love the content that @hubermanlab puts out, but honestly it's way too long form for my very limited time. Is there anyone doing a tldr version of each episode? The podcast itself could even spin off a "shorts" podcast with 5-10 min abridged episodes of the longer ones.
If I submit a talk called "How and why we moved off LiveView into NextJS and started shipping stuff 2x faster" for the upcoming ElixirConf, what are the chances it will get accepted? ๐
