I tried to build a fresh React Native on the new Apple MBA with M1 / 16GB ram. Cache cleaned. It took 25s. To compare, the same task, executed in exactly the same conditions, on my MBP (13", 2018, Core i5 2,3GHz, 16GB ram) took… 1min21s. …and without any fan noise 🤯

A quick reminder: Now that macOS Catalina is out, you can build desktops apps with react-native for mac (with iOSkit, a checkbox to tick in Xcode 11) and windows (with react-native-windows, an official fork by Microsoft). So…Bye Electron 👋
