About

For more than 30 years, 311 has stood as a beacon of innovation in the modern rock scene, maintaining their original lineup while continuously evolving their sound. Originating from Omaha, Nebraska, the band--comprised of Nick Hexum (vocals, guitar), SA Martinez (vocals, turntables), Chad Sexton (drums), P-Nut (bass), and Tim Mahoney (lead guitar)--has become a fixture in the global music landscape, known for their dynamic fusion of rock, reggae, funk, and rap. With a career spanning over three decades, 311's music remains as vital and fresh as ever, reflecting their unwavering dedication to their craft and their fans. 311 has sold over 10 million albums, achieved over 1.5 billion streams globally, and landed 10 consecutive Top 10 charting albums. Across their 13 albums, they have earned 5X Platinum and 6X Gold certifications. They are the creators of "311 Day," a multi-day immersive concert experience that takes place bi-annually on March 11th. Additionally, they host the 311 Cruise, which has sold out within 24 hours of going on sale for seven consecutive cruises. Their latest single, "You're Gonna Get It," is the band's highest-charting radio single in 13 years, currently sitting at #15 on US alternative radio.

Formed in 1990, 311 quickly became a standout in the Omaha music scene, blending genres in a way that was both innovative and accessible. Their early years were marked by relentless touring and a do-it-yourself approach to promotion, which paid off when they released their major-label debut album, Music, in 1993. The band's breakthrough came with their third album, 311 (1995), which featured the hit singles "Down," "Don't Stay Home," and "All Mixed Up." The album went triple platinum, and 311 was propelled into the mainstream, solidifying their status as one of the premier acts of the 1990s.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, 311 continued to build on their success with albums like Transistor (1997), Soundsystem (1999), and From Chaos (2001). Each release showcased the band's ability to evolve and experiment with their sound while maintaining the core elements that had won them a devoted fanbase. Their music, characterized by a seamless blend of rock, reggae, funk, and hip-hop influences, resonated with a diverse audience, allowing 311 to carve out a unique niche in the rock world.

While 311 has always had a strong presence in the United States, their influence extends far beyond American borders. Over the years, the band has played shows across Europe, Japan, South America, and other parts of the world, bringing their electrifying live performances to fans on multiple continents. Their most recent international performances include shows in Europe and Japan, and they are set to further expand their reach with upcoming shows in Australia and Indonesia. Whether playing to intimate crowds or massive festival audiences, 311 delivers a live experience that is as captivating as it is energetic, drawing on their decades of experience to create a show that is both polished and spontaneous.

At the heart of 311's enduring appeal is their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots.

The band's music has consistently pushed the boundaries of genre, creating a sound that is instantly recognizable yet always fresh. From their early days blending genres, 311 has continuously refined their approach, incorporating new influences and experimenting with different styles. This willingness to evolve has kept their music relevant across generations, attracting new fans while satisfying longtime listeners.311's upcoming album, set to be released later this year, is a testament to their ongoing evolution and dedication to their craft. The album showcases the band's songwriting mastery, honed over decades of touring and recording. The new material reflects a polished, mature sound that is both a nod to their early work and a bold step forward. With this release, 311 continues to demonstrate their ability to innovate within the rock genre, offering a modern rock experience that is as smooth and sophisticated as it is powerful.

One of the hallmarks of 311's career has been their collaborative spirit. The band members bring a diverse range of influences and experiences to the table, creating a rich tapestry of sound that is greater than the sum of its parts. Nick Hexum's melodic sensibility and rhythmic guitar work, SA Martinez's distinctive vocal style and turntable skills, Chad Sexton's precision drumming, P-Nut's groovy bass lines, and Tim Mahoney's seamless versatility with his searing guitar solos all come together to form a cohesive and dynamic sound that is uniquely 311.

Beyond their work as a band, 311 has also been involved in numerous collaborations with other artists, both within and outside the rock genre. These collaborations have allowed them to explore new musical territories and expand their creative horizons, further enriching their sound and broadening their appeal.

For 311, the connection with their fans has always been paramount. The band's live performances are legendary for their energy and intensity, creating a communal experience that is as much about the audience as it is about the music. Whether performing in intimate venues or headlining massive festivals, 311's shows are a celebration of music, unity, and positivity, leaving a lasting impact on everyone in attendance.

Over the years, 311 has cultivated a dedicated and passionate fanbase, known as the "Excitable Ones." This community of fans is a testament to the band's ability to create music that resonates on a deep, emotional level, offering a sense of belonging and connection. 311's commitment to their fans is reflected not only in their music but also in their interactions with the community, both online and in person.

As 311 enters their fourth decade as a band, they show no signs of slowing down. With a new album on the horizon and an ambitious touring schedule that will take them to new and familiar territories, the band continues to push forward with the same passion and drive that has defined their career. Their music, constantly evolving and refining, remains as vital and relevant as ever, offering a refreshing and compelling take on modern rock.

311's legacy is one of innovation, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. With over 30 years of music-making under their belt, they have cemented their place as one of the most influential and enduring bands in modern rock. For the die hard fans

by LF on 3/15/26Dolby Live - Las Vegas

This 311 experience is on a different level of depth. Where a typical show on tour is around 20-25 songs 311 Day is 42 songs each night. So the band has a chance to play some deep tracks and the vibe of the crowd is super positive because everyone is loyal 311 fans. Be ready to discuss all of their albums as you will be surrounded by all of the fan club members. Super cool experience and location in Vegas is really easy to access and move around after the show.

by EyeLove311 on 3/14/26Dolby Live - Las Vegas

The band sounded excellent and performed flawlessly. Same energy as they performed decades ago. They did not disappoint. Dolby Live venue was clean, all seats seem to offer a great view and the sound system was loud and crisp. The monitors offered really clear, up close shots of the band on stage. I highly recommend 311 Day and Vegas is fun city to see them perform.
