RSS (and sites like this one, thanks Callum!) are the key to reclaiming the openweb.
The following page shows how to best integrate RSS buttons into any website. I produced this a while ago but have not tried to go pulic with it in a big way until now. Seeing people like Groomgle on here has inspired me to try to get RSS back in the limelight. The page also contains a special fallback hack for logo buttons because Tor Browser in Safest Mode cannot handle SVG.

Callum the "target" method to show/hide for popups will make it so a person can click/tap to bring up the menu of links, as you have done for your header. I would suggest having the options appear vertically instead for readability.
You seem good with HTML and CSS. Can you work out why the inline RSS buttons don't work inside paragraph <p> HTML elements? Its quite a mystery.
