Analytics that never leaves your server
40+ report screens inside wp-admin. Every pageview written to your own database, on your own hosting. No cookie, no consent banner, no outbound request of any kind. Free, GPLv2, and there is no licence key to enter.
- It tells you who wrote what they read. The author is recorded on every pageview, so Authors and Fastest-Growing Authors work on day one. No CSV, no custom dimensions.
- Real numbers, not estimates. Time on page comes from an engagement beacon and counts only while the tab is visible. Bounce rate means what everyone means by it.
- Nothing phones home. Country lookup ships inside the plugin as two plain text tables. Our servers going down cannot touch your reporting.

The last row goes the other way on purpose. A visitor hash re-salted every day cannot follow anyone into next week, so week-over-week retention is a question this data genuinely cannot answer. If your work depends on ad attribution, GA4 is the right tool.

Is ConvertNow Analytics really free?
Yes. It is GPLv2, there is no licence key to enter, no paid tier and no feature held back for one. We ask for a name, an email and the domain you will run it on so we know who is using it and what to build next, and at most you get occasional notes about updates.
Do I need a cookie banner if I use it?
Generally not. The plugin sets no cookie, writes nothing to local storage and keeps no persistent identifier. Visitors are counted with a one-way hash of address, browser and a salt that rotates every UTC day, and raw IP addresses are never written to your database. We are not lawyers, so if you are unsure, check the GDPR text and your regulator’s guidance rather than taking our word for it.
Where does my analytics data actually live?
In your own WordPress database, on your own hosting. The plugin makes no outbound HTTP request of any kind, not even to us. Country lookup ships inside it as two plain text tables rather than calling an outside service, which means our servers going down cannot affect your reporting.
How does it compare to Google Analytics 4?
Better on cookies, consent, data ownership, sampling and reporting by author. Worse on anything that needs to follow a visitor across days, because a hash re-salted daily genuinely cannot do that, and it has no ad attribution at all. If your work depends on Google Ads conversion tracking, GA4 is the right tool and you should use it.
Do I need an account to use the tools?
No. There is no signup, no email gate and no trial. Open a tool and use it. All 150+ of them work the same way.
Do the tools upload the files I put into them?
Most do not. Formatters, converters, calculators and image tools run entirely in your browser, so the JSON payload or the salary figure you paste never leaves your device. The exceptions are the ones that cannot work locally by definition, such as DNS lookups, WHOIS and page speed checks, which have to send the domain you type in order to look it up.
