Participants will have the duration of the hackathon to brainstorm, build, and submit their AI-powered solutions. Specific deadlines and event details will be announced on the official hackathon page.

Eligibility

FutureForge Hacks is open to students of all backgrounds and experience levels who are interested in using AI to create meaningful solutions.

Eligible participants:

  • Students currently enrolled in middle school, high school, or college
  • Beginners and experienced developers are welcome
  • Teams and individual participants are allowed
  • Participants may come from any academic background

No prior AI or programming experience is required — curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.

Project and Submission Requirements

Projects must:

  • Use artificial intelligence as a core component of the solution
  • Address a meaningful real-world problem
  • Be created during the hackathon period
  • Include a working prototype, demo, or proof of concept

Each submission must include:

  • Project name and description
  • Problem statement and proposed solution
  • Explanation of AI technologies used
  • Demo video showcasing the project
  • Link to source code or prototype (if applicable)
  • Team member information and contributions

Projects will be judged based on their innovation, impact, technical execution, and overall user experience.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:

Impact (30%)

How effectively does the project address a meaningful problem and create positive change?

Innovation (25%)

How creative and unique is the idea? Does it introduce a new approach to solving a challenge?

Technical Implementation (25%)

How effectively is AI used? Does the project demonstrate strong engineering and thoughtful execution?

User Experience (15%)

Is the solution intuitive, accessible, and designed with users in mind?

Presentation (5%)

How clearly does the team communicate their idea, process, and impact?

 

Winners will be selected based on the overall quality of their submission and the strength of their solution. Judges’ decisions will be final.
