@pombredanne Personally I have some skepticism in general about the whole "what is the license of the license" thing :) But if you're looking for something, this is the relevant text from the OpenMDW repo's README file:

The OpenMDW-1.0 license text is made available for use, modification and redistribution without restriction; however, you may not use the name "OpenMDW" or anything confusingly similar to refer to any modified version.

Agreed, same here, this is a dubious thing in general. I was just confused by the license statements on the license site and repos! Thanks for the clarification.
