All the software here is free to download and use, with no ads and nothing bundled into the installers. Most of it is open source.
Building and maintaining it takes time, though. Windows keeps changing, and a tweak or a mod that worked fine last month can break with the next update, so a large part of my time goes into keeping what’s already here working, not only into building new things. There are also ongoing costs: hosting, domains, and the code-signing certificate.
If any of it has been useful to you, a donation is a nice way to say thanks, and a great motivation to keep going. It’s entirely optional, and nothing here is locked behind it.

If donating isn’t for you, there are other ways to help:
- If something is broken, report it. A detailed report is usually the fastest way to get a bug fixed, for you and for everyone else running into it. Use the issue tracker of the relevant project on GitHub, or get in touch.
- Join the Windhawk Discord, where mod ideas, troubleshooting, and works in progress are discussed. Answering someone else’s question there helps just as much.
- Spread the word: star the projects on GitHub, rate the mods you use, or recommend them to someone who’s still fighting with their taskbar.
