On many venues, even a profitable position can be closed through auto-deleveraging (ADL) when the backstop falls short. TRS has no ADL. A position stays open as long as the account continues to meet its margin requirements. If liquidation is required, Flying Tulip issues an RFQ

Leveraged spot uses real borrowing and spot execution. For this 2x wS long, the account borrows ftUSD, swaps it for wS and deposits the purchased wS as collateral. Estimated slippage is shown before confirmation. Here it was 0.19%, and the order filled immediately.
