The interview of @Ed_Miliband on BBC Radio 4 was incredibly hostile. Overall tone of BBC coverage of UK’s big policy move on #Palestinian issues has been very negative & accommodating of spurious criticism. Time for better balance at BBC on these issues.

Strong statement by ⁦@nzlabour⁩: in government it will prioritise recognition of the State of #Palestine & join others in banning trade with illegal settlements in the illegally occupied Palestinian Territories. It is in good company in pledging this

No voice from #NZ and Australia on this. UK’s principled stand for 2-state solution should be supported. UK backs @CIJ_ICJ advisory opinion on illegality of occupation of #Palestinian Territories; refers to ethnic cleansing on #WestBank; & bans trade with illegal settlements.

🇺🇸 Ambassador to 🇮🇱 asserted to BBC in story currently playing that settlements in Area C of the #WestBank are legal under the #OsloAccords. There was no such provision in the Accords. So, why was there no BBC pushback on this statement? Media must do their job to ensure accuracy
