After X Corp. sent cease-and-desist letters requesting the permanent takedown of Nitter instances and its repository, the project says it will continue following legal advice.

Mullvad announced they're phasing out their public encrypted DNS 😥
If you relied on it for maintained malware/tracker/ad filtering, Control D is a solid swap-in. It's best known as a paid service, but the free tier requires no account and offers the exact same filtering.
On November 2nd 2026 our public Encrypted DNS servers will be shut down.
This does not impact customers of our VPN if DNS content blockers are used.
