This. Every single user of Tensorlake benchmarks startup, suspend and resume time on their workload. No one likes slow.

I have seen that comment even from people who do deploy them. Well it’s from people who are about to deploy them. Then they do complain when they realise they were wrong and you had called it out at the start

Having a shell into sandboxes where session run in our internal software factory has been pretty useful. If a session runs into trouble because of the environment, we can open up a shell to fix it. Probably not needed long term as models and harnesses get better.

People who claim startup latency in sandboxes doesn't matter because inference is still the bottleneck don't talk to builders deploying agents in sandboxes.

Started using @tursodatabase for this. Wrote instructions in AGENTS.md to create as many databases it needs, one per component of the tensorlake platform and start writing benchmark data by date, branch name and PR numbers.

How do you guys record benchmark numbers in PRs? We have BENCHMARK.md for most of Tensorlake's components now, and 10/10 times there are merge conflicts because there are a ton of PRs getting shipped in parallel. Anyone building BenchmarkFS ?

ICYMI, we wrote a technical blog on dataplane networking for sandboxes!

We wrote a blog about Tensorlake's Egress proxy infrastructure and how we support atomic updates to network policies anytime in the life of a sandbox. Some of the challenges here was designing a protocol to refresh policies, and supporting DNS based rules.
