A new generation is waking up to the wonders of software with agentic coding, and when they look inside what they've built, I would love for them to see the joy of Ruby

One decision put Ruby into a downward spiral. It's not too late to fix it.

There is nothing to be bummed about. The Ruby community is strong and experienced (and fun!), which means we get to build the future we want. And this makes in person events more important than ever. If you attend one conference this year, I'm recommending you make it SF Ruby 🔻

We read the latest RubyAI issue by @mattsolt and were extra bummed about the chart that shows the big decline of new Ruby developers. But the good news is that all engineers who come to SF Ruby are actively participating in making the ecosystem better to attract new people.

I'm a Ruby dev coding my SaaS frontend, and I'm not enjoying Next.js. What frontend frameworks would you recommend? I'm looking for something simple that AI coding tools handle well. What are you using? 👀

After 36 editions of Ruby AI News, today finally felt like the turning point I've been waiting for. @marcoroth_ had Herb merged into Rails core (🙏), @paolino announced RubyLLM 2.0, and @rails got serious about AI benchmarking. This isn't year 22 of Rails, its day one. LFG!
