Hi all,

I've had a few instances of people contacting me about the site of xwinman.org

When I mirrored it, I did say as just that -- a mirror of the information, which is found here:

I've no intention of letting that go.

But, it seems there's a few people who are disputing the legality of these pages. and/or, wishing to clone the content for themselves and "modernise the CSS".

This seems odd to me. and should not happen.

To this end, I've added the mirrored files of xwinman.org here:

... and want anyone to know that these are the official files from the original mirror.

Hi all -- I've added a slew of bug-fixes to CoW recently (thanks to @justine and others for the reports/testing!)

Additionally, I've added the following:

draw-exec -- a new command to draw a rectangle with the mouse to open a window at that size.

For example, the following binding (holding down meta (alt) and holding and dragging with the left mouse button) would open xterm once you've drawn a rectangle:

moocow 'mouse M+left draw-exec exec xterm'

I'm not sure how useful this is, but it's fun, and was fun to implement it.

Native menu support has been merged.

I've spent a good few weeks on this and am generally happy with the result.

See the screenshot attached.

Examples in cow.conf and man page.

Colour gradients can be applied -- and do not need to look as "boring" as in the screenshot.

This time, #plums

Our plum tree is the tree which keeps on giving.

We have had so many plums that we strewed half and I decided to ferment some.

You'll see the current collection, plus the to-be fermented plums on the right.

It's a big Mason jar. I hope this goes well and doesn't mould. I've gone for a 3.5% salt solution by weight of fruit and water, to try and ensure things like kham yeast don't form.

Oh -- my wife provided the labels. Had I done this, the legibility would have been zero... ;)

This release tracks got-0.127, no -portable specific changes.

Behind the scenes though, I have now moved got's CI from Cirrus-CI (RIP; they were good to us) to sr.ht's build infrastructure.

I tend to stick to the Guardian, FT, and Indy as my solves during the week -- so-called "dailies".

The wonderful fiftensquared blog site includes crosswords which are barred -- such as the Azed, and now the Listener.

The Listener is well-known for being very tough, often dreading the darker corners of Chambers dictionary, stretching the vocab of most people!

It's insane, yes.

Menu support in cow.

I've been looking into this for a while and have a prototype of sorts.

A new `menu-add` command defines and creates menus, similar to how fvwm operates now.

Colour gradients are supported, nested-submenus, etc.

I'm still working on this, but here's a screenshot to whet appetites, etc.

Well, after the successful completion of my mustard, I'm now fermenting some jalapeños with other things to make hot sauce!

The jar on the left is full of jalapeoños, onion, pepper, etc.

The jar on the right has mango, with bird's eye chilis, jalapeños, tomatoes.

This should be fun!

My wife and I are in Corsham painting pottery before going for a meal.

I’ve never done this before. The items will be glazed and fired before being collected.
