Welcome to the MacOdrum Library

Welcome to MacOdrum Library! Whether you are beginning your time at Carleton, returning to your studies or research, teaching a course, or working on something new, we are here to support you.

At the heart of the Library are the people who work here. Our staff bring deep knowledge, care, and experience to their work with students, instructors, researchers, and the wider Carleton community. We can help you find information, develop your research skills, use library tools and technologies, navigate publishing and copyright questions, access archival and special collections, connect with accessibility services and accessible formats, and find the services and resources that best meet your needs.

Our collections support learning, teaching, and research across the university. They include print and digital materials, databases, journals, books, media, maps, data, archives, rare books, and other specialized resources. Many of these resources are available online, and library staff are available to help you make the most of them wherever you are.

The Library building is also an important part of campus life. It offers a range of spaces for study, research, collaboration, reflection, and connection. Whether you are looking for a quiet place to focus, a space to work with others, accessibility support, or help at one of our service points, we hope you will feel welcome here.

We encourage you to explore what the Library has to offer, ask us questions, and let us know how we can help. If you would like to get in touch, our contact information is available online.

You can also follow us on social media for a glimpse of what is happening in and around the Library.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Library and helping you make the most of what we have to offer.
