Our onshore wind and solar farms have a combined capacity of 6.3 GW, generating renewable energy along with jobs, tax revenue, and biodiversity benefits the US. Some of them are supported by battery storage facilities, which help balance supply and demand throughout the day.
Meanwhile, our biomass-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plants, where coal was once the staple fuel source, provide Denmark with low-carbon district heating and backup power. At two of our CHP plants, we’re building carbon capture and storage facilities, leading to negative emissions.
