- Eighteen days ago, Commerce froze the most advanced models from @AnthropicAI over national security. Yesterday, it lifted them. FSI's @IsaacAHarris to @Reuters: there's now a process for standards on U.S. models. Open question: what about equally dangerous capabilities from
- A frontier AI model went offline overnight. Commerce issued an export-control directive; Anthropic disabled Fable 5 and Mythos 5 worldwide to comply. For the first time, controls reached the model itself, not just hardware. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
